Savannah, G., March 19.—Savannah
is very much interested in the sug
gestion sent out from Atlanta that
Governor ^irown proposes to be more
active against the near beer dealers of
tne state, and force them to pay their
state licenses. There are several
hundred near beer dealers in Savannah,
and a special agent has been working
down here to try to get them to pay up
without trouble.

highest bidder for cash, on the first
Tuesday in April, 1913, between the
legal hours of of sale, before the court
house door, in the town of Alamo,
Wheeler County, the following described
property; to-wit: One No. 1 Taylor
saw mill with 20 feet of carriage, two
head blocks, rope feed and rope, togeth
er with one 48 inch inserted point saw,
found in possession of H. M. Purvis.
Levied upon as the property of H. M.
Purvis under and by virtue of a mort
gage fl. fa. issued from the superior
court of Laurens County, Georgia, in
favor of Mallory Bros., Machinery Co.,
against the said H. M. Purvis and said
described property. Written notice
given defendant in possession and turned
over to me for advertisement and sale

estate of J. J. Wright, late of said

the creditors and heirs of J. J. Wright

any they can, why permanent letters
of administration should not be granted
to J. D. Brown on the estate of J. J.

Bond Election Notice
GEORGIA, Wheeler County.
To the qualified voters of Wheeler
county:
Notice is hereby given that on the
29th day of March, 1913, an election
will be held in Wheeler county, at which
will be submitted to the qualified voters
of said county, for their determination,
the question whether bonds shall be is
sued by said county, in the aggregate
amount of fifty thousand dollars, of
which forty thousand dollars shall be
applied to the purpose of building a
court house in said county, and ten
thousand dollars shall be applied to the
purpose of building a jail and neces
sary appurtenances to the jail a'-d the
court house and furnishing the court
house, which said court house, jail asd
necessary appurtenances shall be built
at the county site of said county; said
bonds to bear date the first day of May,
1913; to bear interest at not more than
six per cent, per annum, payable an
nually on the Ist day of January in
each year, beginning on January Ist,
1914, and extending for thirty years
from date of same; to be in denomina
tions of one thousand, six hundred and
sixty six and 667-1000 dollars each as
principal and the accrued interest on
each payment and bond, and the princi
pal thereof to be paid as follows:—one
thousand, six hundred and sixty six and
667-1000 dollars due on January let,
1914, and the same amount due on the
Ist of each succeeding January til!
thirty annual installments are paid,—
the last payment being made on Jan
uary Ist, 1943. The accrued interest
on each of the said thirty installments
to be paid on January Ist, 1914, and
every January Ist, thereafter, till
thirty payments have been made, the
last payment of said interest due as
accrued being paid on January Ist, 1943.
Principal and interest to be paid in
gold coin of the United States, ol the
present standard weight of fineness, at
the office of some financial institution
in the city of New York, state of New
York.
The said election will be held at the
usual voting places in each malitia
district in said county. PoHs will be
open at seven o’clock a. m. and close at
6p. m., at the court house precinct,
Alamo, Ga., and will be open at eight
o’clock a. m., and close at three o’clock
p. m., at each and all other voting
precincts in said county, on the day
fixed for said election, to-wit: the 29th
day of March, 1913.
Those desiring to vote in favor of the
issue of said bonds will do so by cast
ing ballots having written or printed
upon them the words “For Bonds’’;
those desiring to vote against the is
sue of said bonds will do so by casting
ballots having written or printed upon
them the words “Against Bonds.”
Said bonds are to be paid off and
fully retired in thirty annual install
ments as aforesaid, including principal
and accrued interest, the last payment
being made on January Ist, 1943, at
which time all of sa'd bonds and the
interest on them will be paid off and
fully retired. The amount to be paid
each January Ist as aforesaid to be one
thirtieth of the principal and theac
srued interest.
The said election being this day
ordered and will be held at every voting
precinct in said county under the law
in such cases made and provided.
Let each qualified voter in said
county take due notice and govern him
self accordingly.

Dissolution Notice.
Notice is hereby given that the firm
of Fordham & Nelson, heretofore en
gaged in the business of Alamo Drug
Company, in the city of Alamo. State
of Georgia, is this day dissolved by
mutual consent. Dr. T. H. Nelson re
tiring therefrom. The business will be
conducted at the same place by Dr. L.
P. Fordham, who will settle all firm
liabilities and receipt for all debts due
to the firm. This Ist day of Dec. 1912.
