ALAMO!
The county *eat of Wheeler county,
which was created in 1912, from a por
tion of Montgomery county, with a
population of ten thousand and a tax
valuation of nearly two million dollars.
Alamo sits on a hill, among stately
pines, and the inhabitants enjoy the
pure atmosphere, and healthful climate
that characterizes the t»wn.
Alamo is just on the eve of installing
a water works system,from a well that
will be bored 500 feet in the earth.
The residents and business houses will
be supplied as soon as the well is com
pleted and the pipe can be laid. The
town will be bonded to the amount of
$2,500 for the purpose of suppiyng the
town with a good water system.
Alamo has some progressive merchants,
who when called upon, will put their
shoulders to the wheel and pull for a
greater Alamo, Those who believe in
