Probably Last Reunion.
The forty-first Reunion of the
Confederate veterans will be held
at Montgomery June 25. This
will probably be the last General
Reunion. It will be several years
since the Confederacy was born
at Montgomery and Jefferson
Davis inaugurated President.
The tottering steps of the aged
heroes will have marched to the
precipice of time when they as
semble at Montgomery in June.
No such preparation has ever
before been made for the care
and comfort of the Veterans. No
such welcome has ever before
been extended as will await those
who come to Montgomery to wit
ness the last grand stand of the
South’s old heroes as they lay
down their arms and surrender
only to that great Conqueror —
Time.
The lailroads, by offering one
cent fare, have made it possible
for every one to attend the Re
union. It is the last opportunity
of the South to pay tribute to her
aeroes.
Montgomery opens her doors
md our people open their hearts
to those who will join us in doing
honor to the men who wore the
Gray.
The Grand EM< ade to be held
Friday, June b b, will have in its
ranks representatives from every
section of the South. The people
<f Montgomery invite the peopl<
•f your community to be with ur
m this occa ion,
