then give a Bible as their guide
to learn more of him.
It was with pleasure that the
society was honored with the

Beautifully Entertained
One of the prettiest socials of
the New Year was the B.W.M.S.
social givbn Thurdsay, January
26th, from 3:30 until 5:30 o'clock,
at the home of Mrs. Maggie Riv
ers, on “The Hill,’’ with Mes
dames J. M. Bohannon, C.E. Mc-
Danil and L. A. Rivers acting as
hostess.
The spacious reception hall and
livingroom were beautifully deco
rated in yellow and green; jon
quils and yellow narassi were in
profusion. Punch was served
from a bank of green vines en
twined with yellow flowers.
Games, contests and piano solos
were enjoyed by the guest, these
being in charge: Miss Rubv Lee
Clegg, Eloise Johnson and Naomi
McDaniel. The magic candle
created quite a bit of fun, as is
revealed the future, many were
given some real sound advice.
At a very appropriate hour
dainty refreshments of jello,
cream and cake were served,
with a pretty yellow jonquil on
each plate.
Enjoying this pleasant after
noon were fifteen members of the
society, with quite a number of
their friends. It was indeed an
afternoon of much fun, and each
appreciated the efforta of the
social committee in making it so.
as well as the generous hospital^
ity of Mrs. Rivers.
