New H-C gives me
Double-Range Anti-Knock
*T get Double-Range Anti-Knock.” That’s what motorists are
saying about the new H-C Gasoline. The two speedometers
above indicate the two important speed-ranges where knock
less power is needed. Some gasolines give high anti-knock in
one driving range but not in the other. However, the new
Double-Range H-C gives you high anti-knock in both. Try a
tankful of the new Double-Range H-C today. It sells at
regular price.

NOTICE TO RANGERS
Dm to the fact that there has
been quite a bit of confu-d.m '.n
reference to the licenses required
for different types of bait, we are
quoting below from the Acts of
1937 Legislature the law cover
the question of fishing licenses:
“An Act to provide for the pay
ment of a license by certain
persons fishing within the Sta
te of Georgia, to prescribe pen
alties for the violation of this
Act; and for other purposes.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the
General Assembly of the State of
Georgia, and it is hereby enacted
by the authority of same, that it
shall be unlawful for any person
to fish in any of the streams,
lakes, or ponds whether tidewater
or fresh water of this state in any
county other than that of his
residence, or if hi the county of
his residence, with any artificial
bait, commonly known as plugs,
dabblers, wooden minnows, live
minnows, flies, spinners, or any
other like bait or lure until such
person shall have complied with
the following regulations, to-wit:
Section 2. Be it further enacted
by the authority aforesaid, that
no resident of this State shall
fish in the waters of this State,
as described in Section 1 hereof,
by means of any artificial bait
commonly known as plugs, wood
en minnows, flies, dabblers, spin
ners, or any other like bait or
lure whether in the county of his
residence or in any county of the
State without first procuuring
from the Director of Wildlife an
annual license for which there
shall be charged and shall be paid
the sum of one ($1.25) dollar and
twenty-five cents. No resident of
this State shall fish in any way
or by any means in any of the
said waters of the State other
than the county of his residence
without first procuring from the
Director of the Division of Wild
life an annual license for which
there shall be charged and shall
be paid the sum of one ($1.25)
dollar and twenty-five cents.
Provided, however, no person un
der sixteen years shall be requir
ed to buy the license created un
der this Act. No non-resident of
this State shall fish in any of
the waters hereinafter described
in any manner or by any means
until such person shall have pro
cured from the Director of Wild
life an annual license for which
there shall be charged and shall
be paid the sum of five ($5.25)
dollars and twenty-five cents.
Seiners and netters shall pay
one ($1.25) dollars and twenty
five cents as lure fishermen.
Os course, you have already re
ceived a copy of the Governor’s
Executive Order for the non-resi
dent fishing permits for ten and
thirty days, which are on sale in
addition to the $5.25 annual li
cense referred t» above. Also, it
is not necessary for anyone und
er 16 years of age to have a li
cense.
Study the above and familiarize
yourself with it so you can ans
wer any questions. I also want
you to get out and check every
person you’ see fishing and if
they are supposed to have a li
cense according to this law and
do not have one they are violat
ing the law and are subject to
prosecution. I want you men to
run the above in your local pap
ers and so inform the public. Al
so, contact the fishermen in per
son and warn them about getting
licenses, thus saving themselves
and the Division the embarrass
ment of having cases made again
st them.
In the future when you men run
across persons fishing without
licenses, I suggest you proceed
with prosecution immediately.
Make out preliminary prosecution
reports and mail them to this of
fice to Mr. J. E. Wall, Supervis
or of Rangers, so he will have a
record of what you are doing to
curb violations.
Some of the rangers are not
contacting the public and taking
the proper interest in their work.
Sineerelv yours,
ZACK D. CRAVEY, Director.
