rial, equipment, and other thing;-
necessary for repairs to the existing
dam located at Little Ocmulgee State
Park at Mcßae, Ga., located ap]«xi
mately 3% miles cast of Mcßea, Ga.
The Approximate Quantities are as
follows:
Lump Sum for repairs to existing
dam at Little Ocmulgee State lark.
Said work shall begin within ten
(l(l) days after formal execution of
contract and shall be completed with
in 60 working days. When contract
has been executed, written notice
shall be given the contractor, at
which time, and not before, work may
be started.
, Contract executed pursuant to tnc
notice is binding on the Department
of State Parks, Historic Sites and
Monuments, as such. Said contract
will not create liability, express or
implied, against the undersized as
an individual, nor against any em
ployee of the Department of State
Parks, Historic Sites and Monuments,
in his or her individual capacity.
Plans and specifications are on file
at the office of the undersigned at
Atlanta, Ga., where they may be in
spected. Copies of plans, specifica
tions and proposal will be furnished
free of charge to prospective bidders. ■
Proposals must be submitted on
regular forms which will be supplied
by the undersigned, and must be ac
companied by a certified check cash
ier’s check, negotiable Lnited btates
Bonds or other acceptable security in
he amount of 81,000.00. Check of the
low bidder will be cashed and all
other checks will be returned as soon
as the contract is awarded, unless it
s deemed advisable by the Depart
ment of State Parks, Historic Sites
md Monuments to hold one or more
ehecks. If an unusual condition
arises, the Department of State
Parks, Historia Sites and Monuments
eserves the right to cash all cheeks.
Bidder’s bond will not be accepted.-
Bond will be required of the suc
•essful bidder as required by law.
The bond must be written by a
licensed Georgia agent in a company
icensed to write Surety Bonds in the
Stat? of Georgia, and be accompa
i ied by a certificate from the Depart
ment of Industrial Relations that the
contractor is complying with the
Georgia Workmen’s Compensation
Act.
No proposal will be issued to any
bidder later than 12 Noon, Central
War Time, of the day prior to the
date of opening bids.
Right is reserved to delay the
award of the contract for a period of
not to exceed thirty (30) days from
the date of opening bids, during
which period bids shall remain open
and not subject to withdrawal. Right
■ reserved to reject any and all bids
a >4 to waive all formalities. .
Upon compliance with the specifi
•ations, ninety (90) per xent of the
amount of work done in any calender
rnnth will be paid for by the 25th
