To those just Married.—“ Had I known!”
“PHitsnri.PHtA, Nov. 99. 1847.
” Dr. A. M. Mauricxau : Had I known of the im
portant matters treated of in ‘The Married Woman's
Private Medical Companion’ some year* ago. how
mncli misery I might have escaped ! I have suffered
years from causes which you point out in your hook,
without knowing what to do. I obtained a copy, and
found my case treated of. I trust every female will
avail herself of the information contained to its pages.”
Letters are daily received of this character, unne
cessary to present.
To those yet unmarried, but contemplating mar
riage, or pernapa hesitating aa to the propriety of
incurring the responsibilities attendant upon it, th.
importance of being posseaaed of the revelations coa
tained in these pages, ao intimately involving their
foture happiness, cao not be appreciated.
It ia, ot course, impracticable to convey more fully
the various subjects treated of, aa they are of a na
ture strictly intended for the-married, or those con
templating marriage; neither ia it necessary, since
it is every one's duty to become possessed of knowl
edge whereby the sufferings to which a wife,. moth
er, or s lister, may be subject, can be obviated.
