Everyone knows that there is con siderable rivalry among the Thomson town farmers, but Mr. Alex Curtis laid them all in the shade this week whenhe stated that his corn not only had six eajs to the stalk, but even the tassels were turning to corn. There were doubters, of course, but lie was able to produce the goods. The tassel he exhibited had a well formed car of corn with full grown giains. It was of the “six ear” variety, but if Mr. Curtis is able to start a variety from the ear grown in the tassel he may have a “seven ear” variety. Supreme Court Approves School Bonds, The question of the Thomson school bonds lias finally been definitely settled by a judgement of the Bupremo Court rendered Tuesday in which tlie issue of tlie bonds is declared to be legal, it will be recalled that when tlie bonds were put on thejuiarket the Attorneys for tlie published objected to them cm account of some irregularities and they could not be sold. This held up the"school building, but all questions have now been be# t settled by the Supreme Court and the Board of Ed uiution will at once proceed with the erection of the new school building.
