At 12 m. Mr. Stephens was carried Ih ft

seated outside Mr. Stophens was greeted
by loud abd er-thuataatle cheers, and after

The address at an end. the crowd were In
vital to dinner, which was von spread on
w the Spacious stage and under the Arbor, and
full justice was done to the great outlay of
all that the "inner man" could wish for.
Besides their basket contributions to the

the day a pleasant doe for all present.
The afternoon was spent In various ways,
t Many called to see th# Old Commoner, out

the treautine of the town, while others again
remained under the arbor, enyiylhg them
selves hi various Ways, and thus the after
noon was spent by ths 10rt0 prop 1.. who
had oome to hear Mr. H tap hens' address.
At night the crowd again repaired to the
arbor, add there remained Until 1:80, wit
