The Numbers from 1 to 50,000, corresponding with
thoso Numbers on the Tickets printed on separate slips
of paper, are encircled with small tin tubes and placed
in one Wheel.
The first 467 Prizes, similarly printed and encircled,
and placed in another Wheel.
The Wheels are then revolved, and a No. is drawn
fi wi the Wheel of Numbers, and at the same time a
Prise is drawn from the other Wheel The number and
“prize drawn out are opened and exhibited to the audl- .
once, and registered by the Commissioners; the Prize
being placed against the number drawn. This opera
tion is repeated until all the prizes are drawn out.
Approximation Prizes. —The two preceding and the
two succeeding Numbers to those drawing the first 17
prizes will he entitled to the 68 Approximation Prizes.—
For example; if Ticket No 11250 draws the $60,000
prize, those Tickets numbered 11248.11249,11251,11252
will each be entitled to $225. If Ticket No 580 draws
the $2",000 Prize, those Tickets numbered 545, 549, 551,
552, will each be entitled to 200 dollars, and so on ac
cording to the above scheme.
T ie 8,000 Prizes of S2O will be determined by the last
figure of the Number that draws the $60,000 Prize. For
example, If the Number drawing the $60,000 Prize ends
with Number 1, then all the Tickets where the Number
ends in 1 will he entitled to S2O. If the Number ends
with Number 2, then all the Tickets where the Number
ends in 2 will be entitled to S2O, and so on to 0.
