BY RANDY CRUMP The Banks County High School JV boys bas ketball team dropped a pair of games in recent action to East Jackson 51-54 and Buford 38-46. Traice Bagley had a strong performance against the Eagles scoring 17 points. Malcolm Mitchell and Trevae Cain scored six points each. Zezmon Steeple, Will Ledford and Taylor Nix scored five points each. Jordan Barnett scored four points and Isaiah Smith scored three points. The Leopards led most of the game against Buford. The end of the third quarter proved to be the turning point in the game for the Wolves. Buford made up lost ground from the first half and led going into the final quarter 28-24. The Leopards lost ground in the fourth period and the Wolves stole the game by eight points. Jordan Barnett led the Leopards with 12 points. Zezmon Steeple scored eight points, Traice Bagley scored seven points. Malcolm Mitchell and Will Ledford scored five points each and Mitch Standridge scored two points from the floor. The Leopards will be back in action on January 4 at home against region rival West Hall.
