BY RANDY CRUMP
The Banks County High School JV girls
played East Jackson twice and Buford in
recent action. The Lady Leopards split
the games against the Eagles winning
53-24 and losing 27-28. Buford handed
the JV girls another loss 41-18 in Buford.
BCHS jumped out to an early lead
in game one against the Eagles and
stayed there for the whole game. Mallory
Parson led the Lady Leopards with 14
points from the floor.
Jody Milford put in a good effort with
10 points, Paige Mathis scored seven
points, Lauren Parr and Bayleigh Marlow
scored six points each. Brenna Parson
scored five points, Morgan Rylee three
points and Shelby Parson added two
points with a lone basket.
A couple of days later for game two,
the Eagles came to play and the game
was a tighter contest on the scoring front.
Most of the Lady Leopards points came
from the free throw line. Eventually, the
Eagles put the game away in the fourth
quarter outscoring the Lady Leopards
17-6.
Mallory Parson led the Lady Leopards
with 10 points, Brenna Parson scored six
points, Morgan Rylee scored five points,
Lauren Parr and Jaylyn Lack scored
three points each.
The Lady Leopards will be back in
action on January 4 at home against
region rival West Hall. Games are sched
uled to start at 4 p.m.
