WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 2, 201 3 THE BANKS COUNTY NEWS PACE 5A Harassing texts, dispute among incidents reported for week Banks County Sheriffs Office personnel responded to a num ber of incidents during the peri od of Dec. 22 through Dec. 28, including the following: • harassing texts at a Historic Homer Highway, Commerce, residence. • dispute at a Riverbend Road, Commerce, residence. •vandalism to a place of worship at Grove Level Baptist Church, Grove Level Road, Maysville. •vehicle identification number verification at a Ga. 105, Baldwin, residence. The responding deputy reported the VIN on a 5x10 open top homemade trailer returned “no wants”; paperwork was completed. •shots fired at a Sweetwater Way, Lula, residence. •verbal dispute at an East Ridgeway Road, Commerce, residence. • aggravated stalking at a Historic Homer Highway, Homer, residence. • found item at an Evans Street, Homer, residence. •shots fired at a Harmony Church Road, Baldwin, resi dence. • abandoned vehicle at Fishermens Net Church, Garrison Shoals Road, Lula. The responding officer reported no one was around the 1992 Honda Accord, he checked the church, all was secure and the car was tagged. •motorist assist on Highway 441 at Steven B. Tanger Boulevard. The responding deputy reported he helped a female move her 200 Honda Accord out of the roadway and she stated she had help on the way. • VIN verification at a Sol Drive, Commerce, residence. The responding officer reported he checked the VIN on a 1964 Scout Motorhome and it returned “no wants” and the paperwork was completed. • livestock in the roadway on Highway 15.441 at Highway 51 North, Homer. The responding deputy reported he checked for two mules in the roadway, but wasn’t able to find them. •all terrain vehicle (ATV) in the roadway on North Mangum Bridge Road, Maysville. The responding officer reported he checked the area, but didn’t locate any ATVs. • legal questions at the Banks County Sheriff’s Office, Windmill Farm Road, Homer, where the complainant was inquiring about marital issues and possession. The responding deputy reported he advised the complainant that all was community property until divided by a judge and that both parties had the same rights of their home. •transport of a female from South Madison Avenue, Monroe. The responding officer reported he picked up a female from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office who had a warrant out of Banks County. • suspicious activity at a Dogwood Drive, Commerce, residence. •damage to a vehicle on Antioch Road at Antioch Drive. • animal complaint at a Loggins Lane, Maysville, resi dence. • animal problem at a Queen Road, Gillsville, residence. • damage to property at Murphy USA, Highway 441 South, Commerce. • harassment at Walmart, Highway 441 South, Commerce. • harassing communications at a Historic Homer Highway, Homer, residence. • harassing communications at a Hembree Road, Maysville, residence, where the complain ant reported a 20-year-old female sent harassing emails by com puter. • damage to property at Walmart, Highway 441 South, Commerce. • improper communication at a Millstone Drive, Commerce, residence, where the complain ant reported a male was send ing inappropriate messages by phone. •officer assist at an Evans Street, Homer, location. The responding officer reported the Madison County Sheriff’s Office asked for assistance in reference to a missing person. •missing person at a Boling Road, Homer, residence. •damage to property at a Currahee Drive, Homer, resi dence. • abandoned vehicle on Sweetwater Way at Garrison Shoals Road. • entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with the intent to commit a crime at RaceTrac, Highway 441, Commerce. • suspicious activity at an Oakwood Drive location. •dispute at a Yonah-Homer Road, Alto, residence. • harassing phone calls at an Ervin Chambers Road, Maysville, residence. • suspicious person at Walmart, Highway 441 South, Commerce. • animal complaint at a Poole Road, Homer, residence. • shots fired at a Sims Bridge Road, Commerce, residence. • counterfeit money at Cracker Barrel, Eisenhower Drive, Commerce. • threats by phone at a Shady Grove Road, Homer, residence. • civil dispute at a Rose Lane, Homer, residence. •shots fired at a Dan Waters Road, Commerce, residence. •welfare check at the Banks County Water Treatment Plant, Whipporwill Way, Baldwin. The responding deputy reported he searched the area, found the main gate closed, all doors and windows secure, nobody appeared to be present. • suspicious vehicle at a Grant Mill Road, Alto, residence. The responding officer reported he checked the area and all appeared O.K. • suspicious vehicle on Wofford Creek Lane at Wofford Road, where the complainant reported a vehicle parked. The responding deputy reported he spoke with the person in the vehi cle who was a resident on the road and advised them not to be blocking the roadway where no one could pass and all was O.K. • open door at Get Real Ministries, Old U.S. 441, Baldwin. The officer reported he found the door unsecured and advised dispatch to contact a keyholder. The officer reported he cleared the building and everything appeared to be unharmed. The officer reported dispatch said the keyholder was out of town and requested that the door be re secured. The officer re-secured the door and would check on it later.
