CROSS COUNTRY
BCHS team members honored

The Banks County High School cross country team recently
held its season-ending awards banquet. Approximately 120
attendees were present for the awards ceremony. Many past
BCHS alumni who are currently running at the college level
attended the event.
Receiving awards were:
• Francisco Hurtado and Makayla Hewell for “Fastest Runner
of the Year” for the boys and girls teams.
• Tuan Pham and Carli Broome for “Victory in the Heart
Award.”
• Jacob Loggins and Makayla Hewell for “Will to Win
Award.”
• Francisco Hurtado and Maggie McCoy for “Runners of the
Year Award.”
• Makayla Hewell, Francisco Hurtado, Hannah Brown
received awards for making the 8AA All Region Cross Country
Teams.
• Kelsey Ayers and Hannah Brown are the BCHS Cross
Country “Rookie of the Year Award” recipients.
