The Banks County High
School Lady Leopards golf
team competed in the region
tournament last week and fin
ished in second place behind
Buford.
Cara Gowder shot a 74 for
the Lady Leopards.
Buford shot a 272, Banks
a 274, West Hall a 280, White
County a 282, North Hall a
287 and Dawson County a 356.
Buford will advance to the
state tournament at Chateau
Elan and Banks, West Hall and
White County will advance to
sectionals at Hartwell Country
Club on May 6.
The Banks County
Leopards Golf Team compet
ed in the region tournament
on Wednesday last week at
Chateau Elan and finished in
sixth place at 390 behind White
County 313, Buford 323, North
Hall 328, Dawson County 351
and East Hall 374. west Hall
finished with 418 and Fannin
County at 427 in last place in
the region.
Jarrett Smith shot a 92,
Jack Gale a 92, Sam Hill a
98, Tyler Crouch a 104, Jeffery
Nicholson a 110 and Austin
Whitfield a 112.

The Banks County High
School Leopards tennis team
completed its season with a
0-5 loss to the 6A-AAA St. Pius
X Golden Lions in Atlanta on
April 23.
The Leopards lost all five
matches to the Golden Lions
in the first round of state com
petition. The match was the
last games to be played by
seniors Jake Schaefer, Tyler
Hubbard, Tuan Pham, Haley
Hill and Alissa Moulder as a
Leopard.
Banks County Board of Commissioners
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The Banks County Board of Commissioners will
be holding a public hearing on May 14, 2013 at
6:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Banks
County Courthouse Annex. The reason for the
public hearing is to consider the abandonment
of CR268/Sprout Drive. The road is .17 miles in
length.
The City of Maysville
will be picking up limbs:
May 7, 2013
(Banks County Residents)
May 8, 2013
(Jackson County Residents)
Limbs must be out on curb by 8:00 a.m.
Limbs over six feet long will not be picked up.
