Commissioners approve
appointments to boards

At a called meeting on
Friday, the Banks County
Board of Commissioners
approved several board re
appointments.
Commissioner Danny
Maxwell was re-appointed to
the Georgia Mountain Regional
Commission.
Lisa Enslen was appointed to
a one-year term on the library
board.
Alvin Thomas was re
appointed to a five-year
term on the Banks County
Department of Family and
Children Services board.
Richard Cochran was
approved to serve another
four-year term on the Zoning
Appeals Board.
OTHER BUSINESS
In other business at the
called meeting:
•the BOC unanimously
approved a $2,350 2014 ser
vice agreement with NSync,
Inc., Norcross, for the Banks
County Courthouse and a
$1,175 service agreement for
the Banks County Courthouse
Annex.
• the board approved
the Banks County Tax
Commissioner’s Fund dis
bursement agreement.
•the BOC unanimously
approved a the amendment
to terminate the Banks County
Energy Excise Tax.
