The woman reported to the Banks County Sheriffs Office that a white male became angry at her and began driving aggressively and pointing at her. She said she didn’t know the man who pointed his fingers at her as if he had a gun. She added that she doesn’t know what she did while driving that made him angry. In another incident, a woman said while she was driving in the 400 block of Browns Bridge Road, Com merce, someone threw what appeared to be a milkshake and hit her and her hus band’s truck, according to a Banks County Sheriff’s Office incident report. The milkshake went all down the side of the truck and put a dent on the pas senger side, right under the mirror; however, the com plainant added she didn’t see anyone on the road side or anyone who might have thrown the milkshake. OTHER INCIDENTS Other incidents reported recently include: • one person charged with criminal trespass and second person charged with simple battery after a domes tic dispute at a Wynn Shoals Road, Alto, residence. •a suspect charged with driving under the influ ence of alcohol, aggravated assault, no seat belt and reck less driving, after trying to run another vehicle off the road in Commerce. • complainant claims ex-boyfriend hit the hood of the vehicle and got in a truck and pulled in front of the vehicle as if he was going to ram the car at a Lula res idence. •a person was arrested for driving under the influ ence of drugs in Maysville. •a complainant stated at least three dogs came onto the property and killed two ducks, nine chickens and one goose at a Riverbend Drive, Commerce, resi dence. • prisoner transferred from Rabun to Banks County. • a complainant stated the evicted offender stole two ceiling fans and six hostas plants from a Loggins Lane, Commerce, residence. • a person who was not a guest at the Comfort Suites, Commerce, hotel pulled the fire alarm of the hotel, and was charged with obstruc tion and transmitting false report of a fire. • missing tag from vehicle at a Yonah Homer Road, Homer, residence. •deputies responded to a Brewer Road, Lula, resi dence, over a verbal dispute and to answer legal ques tions. •missing parts and van dalism strike a vehicle at a Mitchell Road, Maysville, res idence. • missing tag from a vehi cle at a Highway 326, Com merce, residence. •two TVs were stolen from Walmart Supercenter in Commerce. • car fire on Highway 441 in Baldwin. •a vehicle was stolen while the complainant was in the Walmart Supercenter in Commerce. • damage to property dis covered at a house on East County Line Road in Dan- ielsville. •criminal trespass com plaint at a Scales Creek Road, Homer, residence. •threats made at the Banks County DFACS office. •a person was arrested for possession of metham- phetamine and possession of drug-related objects at America’s Best Inn & Suites in Commerce. • shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter in Commerce also came with charges of possession of methamphet- amine and possession of schedule IV controlled drug. •a person was charged with possession of a sched ule III controlled substance, possession of cocaine, driving under the influence of drugs, weaving over the roadway and driving while license is suspended or revoked after a traffic stop on Interstate 85. • a tag was lost or stolen from an unknown Homer address. • missing TV from a Brown Bridge Lane, Com merce, residence. •a person did not show up to pick up a child during exchange at Banks County Sheriff’s Office. •a person was charged with driving under the influ ence of alcohol and two traffic offenses that occurred in the Waffle House, Com merce, parking lot. •items, including a gun (unknown model), were stolen from a vehicle in the LongHorn Steakhouse park ing lot. •pudding, cookie dough and teriyaki bites shoplifted from the Walmart Supercen ter in Commerce. •clothing and consum able goods shoplifted from the Walmart Supercenter in Commerce. •two people walked in the Walmart Supercenter in Commerce, took a purse that was left by the victim and left the store. •simple assault at a Mur ray Road, Homer, residence. •a gun (J.C. Higgins 12-gauge) was reported missing from a Highway 323, Maysville, residence. • report made in an effort to get road signs put up in a curve on North Mangum Bridge Road, Maysville. •a vehicle was stolen from a Highway 326, Com merce, residence. • criminal trespass at a Sims Bridge Road, Com merce, residence. • a car battery was report ed stolen from a Union Hill Road, Homer, residence. • dispute between a man ager and employee at a Banks Crossing restaurant. The employee was reported ly fired and refused to leave. •a woman stole an air conditioner from a Banks Crossing business. •a woman said she was parked at a Pottery Factory Drive business when some one forcibly entered her vehicle. She said nothing was taken but she could tell someone went through her purse. There was damage to the driver’s side door and front passenger door of the vehicle. • an Alto woman said she pulled into the yard of her father’s residence on Old Hwy. 441 North and saw someone in his truck. She said the man ran when she yelled at him. • domestic dispute between a couple at a Gal- low Road, Homer, address. •someone broke a win dow of a vehicle parked at a Banks Crossing Drive busi ness and stole a back pack. • a Commerce woman said that she had her daugh ter got into a verbal dispute over the care of her grand son. •an Old Hwy. 441 North, Alto, man said he was cutting grass in his yard and found a weed eater behind a roll of hay. • mail stolen from a mail box on Borders Road, Com merce. • a woman driving a four-wheeler wrecked at a Hwy. 164, Commerce, loca tion. •vehicle stolen from the parking lot of an Otis Brown Road, Baldwin, business. • a man changed the price tag on an item at a Banks Crossing business and purchased a $75 item for 73 cents. He used the self check-out and ran from the store after being questioned by an employee. •someone opened sev eral mailboxes on Freedom Lane, Commerce. She said someone working in her home took photos of her credit cards and used them to make pur chases. • a woman said she was sitting in a vehicle at a Hwy. 441, Commerce, business when a man came over and slapped her. She said she didn’t know him or why he did that. • an employee at a Banks Crossing business said someone stole one gallon of water from the store. • a Homer man said someone riding a bike in the parking lot of his apartment complex stmck his vehicle and damaged it. •someone stole a back pack from a Banks Crossing business. • aggressive sexual battery against a woman at a Mays ville location. • harassing communica tions following a domestic dispute involving several people at a McDaniel Street, Alto, location. • trimmer stolen from Emory Chambers Road, Lula, residence. • stolen vehicle recovered from a Hwy. 441, Homer, location. •an employee stopped a suspect from stealing a phone charger and medica tion from a business. •a Scales Creek Road, Homer, man said his neigh bor is harassing him. Baldwin reports 3 arrests The Baldwin Police Department made three arrests last week, including the following: • Joshua Dean Cherry, 28, 223 Linda Way, Cornelia, driving while license suspended or revoked. • Benford Lee Wade, 29, 372 Old Orchard Road, Baldwin, creating a hazardous condition. • Christopher George Broom, 39, 7100 Dicks Hill Parkway, Mount Airy, creating a hazardous condition and safety belt violation. INCIDENTS Incidents reported to the police department include the following: • battery during an altercation at an Airport Road address. •two-vehicle wreck at a Hwy. 441 location. • one-vehicle wreck at a Stonepile Street address. Arson hotline offered Insurance and fire commissioner Ralph Hudgens wants to remind Georgians that the state has a toll-free arson hotline, 1-800-282-5804, sponsored by his office and the Georgia Arson Control Program. Callers to the hotline will be eligible for rewards of up to $10,000 if they provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist. According to Hudgens, callers and reward recipients may choose to remain anonymous. “We want to remind Georgians of this incentive to report any information they may have about a suspicious fire,” said Hudgens.
