Grace to meet
every need
There is grace
for you. There
is grace for me.
There is grace to
meet our every
need.
Thank God
for his amazing
grace. Ephe
sians 2:7-8
explains that we
experience this
unmerited favor
because of Jesus
Christ. “It is by grace we
are saved through faith; it
is a gift of God.”
This indescribable gift
doesn’t end on the day of
our salvation, but will keep
us every day of our lives.
Romans 5:1-2 explains that
we gained access by faith
into this grace in which we
now stand.
As we have experienced
his unconditional love,
let us realize his grace
is available to meet our
every need. It will also
sustain us when trials and
tribulations arise in our
lives. John 1:14 tells us that
He is full of grace.” So let
us be reminded that he is
the source no matter what
issue may arise.
One of the greatest
examples of grace comes
when Paul experienced a
thorn in his flesh. Just like
many of us, when a thorn
of life arises, we immedi
ately ask God to remove
it. In 2 Corinthians 12:8-10
Paul asked God to remove
the thorn three times to no
avail. Then God tells him,
““My grace is sufficient for
you, for my power is made
perfect in weakness.”
What powerful words. Let
those words sink in for a
moment.
“I’ve been wrongly
accused.” God’s grace is
sufficient. “My health is
failing.” God’s grace is
sufficient. “I desperately
need a change in my life;
I can’t bear the struggle.”
God’s grace is sufficient.
If you find yourself in that
place or any other place,
look to the Lord. Don’t
continue to ana
lyze the situa
tion and come
up with a plan
to get out; look
to God for his
amazing grace.
Many times God
will move the
mountain in due
time, but Paul’s
situation was dif
ferent.
He would live
with the thorn and experi
ence God in an incredible
way. He was able to stand
because of God’s power.
When Paul was weak he
realized God would be
strong. In fact, Paul said,
“I delight in weaknesses,
in insults, in hardships,
in persecutions, in diffi
culties.”
Then we read the last
nine words that ring true
in the lives of believers
today. “ For when I am
weak, then I am strong.”
At our weakest moments
we can’t do it. When we
have exhausted every via
ble option and we are
worn out. That is when
we rest in the arms of
God. As Paul says, when
we are weak, that is when
we will see the power of
God work flawlessly in
our lives.
Finally, it is God’s grace
that will lead us home.
Living a life for God is the
only way to experience
true contentment in good
times and times of diffi
culty. As John Newton’s
popular church hymn,
“Amazing Grace,” tells
us ’’Through many dan
gers, toils and snares, I
have already come; ’Tis
grace hath brought me
safe thus far, and grace
will lead me home.”
My prayer is that we will
never forget God’s amaz
ing grace no matter where
our paths may trod.
