Farm Bureau women present program to BCES Garden Club

Banks County Farm Bureau Women’s committee mem
bers, Julie Jackson, Sarah Carlan, and Wendy Fuschetti,
presented a program to Banks County Elementary stu
dents.
The BCES After-school Garden Club planted flowers in
repurposed cans from the school lunchroom. These cans
made vessels for colorful pansies to beautify the homes of
our students. They were very excited about taking them
home.
The students also read the new book of the month, “The
Queen and the First Christmas Tree.” Then the students
participated in the STEM Challenge trying to create a
Christmas tree using toothpicks and mini marshmallows.
