Winners in Lula Car Show announced
The Historical Society of Lula Bellton recently spon
sored a car show.
The winners are:
•Walter Reese, 1965 Ford Econoline, track and off road
category winner.
•Steve Samples, 1989 Ford Fox Body, survivor 1989
and older category winner.
•Doc Gregory, 2016 Ford Mustang, modern domestic
car 1976 and newer category winner.
•Joann Ingram, 1967 VW bug, classic imports car 1941-
1975 category winner.
•Phillip Shelton, 1928 Ford Roadster, vintage car and
truck 1940 and older category winner.
•Jim Grier, 1931 Ford A pickup, People’s Choice win
ner.
•Spencer Hubbard 1966 Ford Mustang, classic domes
tic car 1941-1975 winner.
•Charles Deans, 1967 Chevy Chevelle, Pro Street and
Best Overall winner.
•Carol Ashworth, 1957 Chevy Belair, President’s
Choice winner.
Juliette T. Roberts is our president of the historical so
ciety.
She states, Commander Amanda Doughty of DAV
Chapter 15 in Cornelia and members of the DAV did an
awesome color guard, present arms, taps, and memorial
for Mordecai Wilson, a loved a vital member of Lula as
a citizen and former councilman for more than 20 years.
Mordecai Wilson passed away in December 2024”
This 1928 Ford was featured in the car show held in Lula and
sponsored by the historical society.
