Announces Tomorrow.
At his morning service tomorrow,
Rev. W, F. Hollingsworth will an
nounce to the congregation his decision
as to whether or not he will leave the
church. Since coming to Brunswick
Mr. Hollingsworth has made many
friends, both in and outside of hie con-,
gregation, and they will regret to have
him leave.

Glynn County Shows Up in
Good Shape.

Toe taxable values of Glynn county
have increased about eighty-five thou
sand dollars, and this is considered
a very fine showing. Some of the Geor
gia oounties fell off a little, but the
majority of those reported so far, show
an eooouraglng increase, and if the
rest of the counties show up as well as
those wbiob have reported, it is safe
to say tbst the tax rate will be re
duced.
CANAL TO BE BUILT.
New York, Aug. 17 —The plans of
the syndicate formed to oonsiruot an
interocean canal .through Nicaragua
are being pushed rapidly forward.
The capital needed has been secured
aDd tbe concession by tbe government
of Nicaragua obtained. Tbe company
Is at liberty to oboose any route with
in tbe domam of Nicaragua. Tbe one
preferred by this government will
certainly bare preference. Th> esti
mate cost is about $130.000,0C0.
