2 ib nil Odds Offered on the Florida Team. But the Brunswick Club is Sure of Winning. In speaking of tbe games at Savan nab between Brunswick and Fernan dina tbe Mews nays : The wire eoreen in front of the grand stand at tbe Bolton S reet Ball I‘ark is to bs repaired. Tnis will be good news to lovers of baseball, as tbe ragged ooodilion of the soreeu has been a souroe of considerable danger during the several series of games which have recently been played at tbe park. Considerable local interest Is being arouaed in the games to take plaoe at the park Thursday, Friday and Satur day between the Brunswick and Fer oandiua teams, and a good attendance is looked for. Tbe games would pro bably not have been played but for tbe fact that a forfeit of $ 100 a side was posted by tbe managers of tbe two teams with a prominent hotel man here. First one manager and then tbe other has expressed a willingness to pull down the money, but as both never happened to be in tbe humor at the same time this was not done, and the games will be played. Tbe oaptaina of tbe two teams, Jim Ballantyne and Frank Butler, are both well known In Savannah, and are expeuted lo add some features of their own to the games. Although the Brunswick team has made a floe re cord, some of the local admirers of tbe game are inolined to take the Feroan dina end of the betting, which indi cates that they expect some good work from the Butler aggregation.
