The Riflemen Want to Take in the
Columbus Fair.
The Brunswick Riflemen have re
ceived a special invitation to attend
the Columbus street fair and partlci
pate in the Milita-y Day on
AgjiV,.
November 2.
To make this trip they give an en
tertainmentto raise tbe money for the
expenses whfeh will be *5 20 per man,
they cleared about S9O. This will
only take about 18 men and as there
are some 30 who are anxious to make
(he trip it is necessary to get thj
balance by sub cription.
The company is desirous o' carry s
leg at least 30 men men so as to
make a good appearance and more
satisfactorily represent Brunswick.
Columbus and Brunswick are very
closely attached to each other, and the
R flemen have entertained the Colum
bus company many times and they are
anxious to show what they can do In
the way of reciprocation. The boys
have given several fine entertainments
free to their friends here and when the
Veterans went to Louisville they sent
one of them by subscription from the
members, besides they give a prize
drill and dance each month during the
winter to the people of the city. What
the boys wish their friends to do Is to
subscribe the money to pay the balance
of theexponse which is about $55, >o
they can carry a large number and re
present tbe city as should be.
A private oar will be given tbe com
pany and it will be nicely decorated
with bunting and s’reamerg, so wher
ever will know they are
from Brunswick. A ootumittee from
the Riflemen will canvass the oity and
will be pleased to receive any dona
tion, no matter bow small, and all
contributions will be greatly appre-

and as this is for a very small amount
the goru people should respond. It
will be advertising Brunswick and
bind closer the ties of love between
the two cities. In giving this money
