WILL NAME
GEN. EVANS
Veterans Want Him to
Serve Again
A LOCAL MEMBER TALKS
He Says They Will Elect
Him Whether he Desires
the Honor or Not.
The Atlanta Dailey News o( yester
day said:
* ‘Pressure is being brought to bear
on General O. A. Evans to retain the
commandership of the Gei>. ;ia divi
sion of Confederate veteran*, and it i
now believed by his friends that he
will,
“General Evans said this morning
be had received numerous letters
from the different campo, and many of
the veterans had failed to see him to
urge him to retain the place. He said
he would refuse to stand for re-elec
lion, but he dtd not say he wouldwe
tuse the position if it were again tend
ered him, and it is sure to be.j.
Captain Tip Harrison says the veter
ans are going ahead and elect General
Evans to the position despite his an
nomUi££^ aK U 3at be will retire, and
that they are going to insist on him re
maining at the head of the organiza
tion.
Captain Harrison says the veterans
are determined to keep General Evans
and it is his opinion that the general
will remain when he sees the sentiment
of tbe meetings is for him.
General Evans will go to Augusta on
Saturday night to make lhe final au
rangemonts for the meeting which
occurs on November 14th,
He says some important things will
come up at the reunion, and among
them will be the Grand, Army of the
Kepublic resolution concerning school
books used in southern schools, The
history committee of the Georgia vet
erans, it is understood, has preparod
some warm resolutions pn reply to
those of the Grand Army of the Ke
public, and it is also said that the
Sons of Veterans have some of a simi
lar nature.
General Evans is expecting a big
attendanea at the reunion, and he pis
lieves that three or four thousand vet
erans will be on hand when thetmest
ing is called to order”
A prominent local„vjter*nj 'was seen
by a reporter yesterday and he said, "!
am in favor of electing General Evans
whether he desires the honor or not,be
has been an excellent officer and has
always taken great interest In our or
ganization.’’

ECZEMA'S
JTCH /S TORTURE.
Eczema L caused by an acid humor in
the blood coming la contact with tho
skiu and producing great redness and in
flammation ; little pustular eruptions form
and discharge a thin, sticky fluid, which
dries and scales off ; sometimes the skin is
hard, dry and fissured. Eczema in any
form is a tormenting, stubborn disease,
and the itcliing and burning at times are
almost unbearable; the acid burning
humor seems to ooze out and set the skin
on fire. Salves, washes nor other exter
nal applications do any real good, for as
long as the poison remains iu the blood
it will keep the skin irritated.
