Georgia and Southeast Georgia, par
ticularly, lead tbe van in the state’s
growth of population. The three

First, Seoond and Eleventh, have
together 166,025 increase or nearly
half tbe total inorease for tbe state.

sus figures shows that this portion of

in population than any other section

Mr. Stanton Scarlett, who as listed
in tbe oapture of Trioy Dixon, fold a
reporter yesterday that Detective Con
nelly bad suooeeded in getting the
pistol which Dixon used on Conductor
Latimer, sod it was found buried at
the home of tbe prisoner's mother in
Wayoross. Mr.Connelly left her* im
mediately after the osptare of tbe mar*
derer for the sole intention of locating
the gnn. Ee went to Wayoross and
after remaining there some days, had
no trouble in finding that the pistol
had been bnried by Dixon after going
home, and a search of the premise*
started. In a far off fencs corner, Mr.
Connelly saw that tbe ground bad
been newly broken, and an examina
tion of tbe new mound resulted in tbe
finding of tbe pistol. The weapon had
been reloaded.
