other bill amending the charter, and
which haa been passed by the bouse of
representative!;
, Section 1, providing that the revenue
from Improvements on town commons
as welt as fiom the land shall be appro
priated to the support of the public
schools of the city. This will increase

Section 2, authorizes the mayor and
council t' make necessary appropria
tions to the public schools out of any
fund not otherwise appropriated.
Section 0, provides ihat no city offi
cial shall.ba eligible to be a manager of
any city election, and provides that
three freeholders representing different
political factions, as far as practicable,
hold ail such elestions.
Section 4, provides that the coun y
tax collector shall Die with the city reg
istrar a list of all tax defaulters residing
in the city, as shown by his books, and
prohibits the registrar from registering
such persons antil they show a receipt
or certificate from the tax collector
showing the payment of each taxes.
