ment of a new line. In a pruß
talk with a merchant, Mr. Whitneß
expressed a desire that a stock com
pany be organized in Brunswick;
that this company put on a line of
steamers between Fernandina and
Savannah, via Brunswick; that these
steamers connect with those of the
Merchants and Miners’ Transporta
tion Company in Savannah, and be
under the supervision of that com
pany. ‘'This arrangement,” said
; Mr. Whitney, “will give Brunswick
‘ two steamers per week from Balti

else than a direct line between the
i two cities.”
