PAGE 18, JULY 14, 2008, THE ISLANDER <Peto The house is awfully quiet this week! I guess it is a good thing since my beloved Braves are on the West Coast and that means very late nights for this faithful fan. I am thankful for no early morning appointments so I can sleep in (and my friends say when do you not sleep in?!) At least they won the game last night - at 1:15 am! When I stay up and they lose the game I am not a happy camper. Seemed like there were a lot more people at the Pier for the fireworks this year and all over the Island for the whole weekend. This Fireworks Fanatic really enjoyed the show. Looks like the cost of gas is keeping folks closer to home which is good for our local merchants and those of us who live here all the time can just enjoy staying home until after Labor Day!
