Snow. Large flake, blowing in the
wind SNOW! In April! We came to the
mountains to be with the grandones
for a few days and God just can't seem
to stop with the weather surprises. We
drove in a circle from Helen to Hiawas-
see (lunch at my favorite Michaellee's)
and then by Vogel State Park - past the
closed road to Brasstown Bald - awed
by the beauty of snow covered trees
and woods at the tops of the moun
tains. We serve an awesome God!
Easter Sunday will be a beautiful
feast for our eyes as churches are filled
with flowers given "In Memory Of' or
"In Honor Of' special people in our
lives. The music will lift our hearts in
praise to our risen Savior. We often
wear new clothes on Easter Sunday
- not just to have something new - but
to declare the new life we have in
Jesus. The challenge for each of us
is to celebrate that new life each and
every day - not just on Easter. Don't
be a CEO Christian - going to church
on Christmas and Easter Only - but
resolve anew to support the church of
your choice every Sunday.

gospel tracts. A Parenting Seminar

As we drove to the mountains we
enjoyed another Spring as the dog
wood and azaleas are just opening and
we hope the cold hasn't hurt them. Our
crabapple tree is in full bloom. We will
have a late birthday dinner for Piper,
Galen and Will Riley tonight and
tomorrow we all board the Blue Ridge
Train for a scenic ride through the
mountains as icing on their cake! Liv
ing so many miles apart causes us to
miss so many special times with them
but my precious memories of summers
and time spent with my grandparents
are what keep me pushing to create
happy times for my grandones. It is
all about FAMILY. Happy Spring to
Emily, Piper, Avery, Will Riley and
Galen! I can hardly wait for the lazy,
hazy days of summer on the beach or
in the mountains.
