Kristi Suzanne Wright and Johna

marriage Saturday, May 9, in an
evening ceremony at the St. Simons
United Methodist Church. The Rev
erend Dr. Ann Brightwell-McCord
performed the
double ring cer
emony.
The bride is
the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Wright
of Cumming,
Ga. and former
ly of St. Simons
Island. The
groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs.
Tom Modisett of
Atlanta, Ga.
The bride,
given in mar
riage by her
father, wore a
ivory silk dupio-
ni gown designed
by Paloma Blan
ca with a sweet
heart neck, ruch-
ing throughout
the body with
an a-line skirt.
The low back
featured covered
buttons down
the length of the
chapel train.
She carried a
bouquet of white hydrangeas, lisan-
thus, lilac, Virginia roses, and calla
lilies.
Jennifer Britt Harrison of Clay
ton, N.C. served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids included Dani Ben
ner of Smyrna, Ga.; Liz Campbell of
Colorado Springs, Co.; Betony Hall
of Monticello, Ga.; Donna King, of
Brownsville, WI; Michelle Parks of
Roswell, Ga.; Ashley Thomson of
Atlanta, Ga. and Becky Wright of
Asheville, N.C. Ella Carol Wright of
Asheville served as the flower girl.

Jan Harper. Alana Duncan was the
reader.

served as the best man. Groomsmen
were Andy Deming of Charlotte,
N.C.; Charley King, Corey Modisett,
Josh Morris, and Drew Smith all of
Atlanta, Ga.; Neal Woody of Mariet
ta, Ga. and Don Wright, Jr. of Ashe
ville, Ga. Wyatt Harrison of Clayton,
N.C. served as the ringbearer.
A reception given by the bride’s
parents was held in the Delegal
Dining Room of the King and Prince
Beach Resort.
The rehearsal dinner given by
the groom's parents was held at The
Crab Trap.
After a honeymoon to St. Lucia,
the couple will reside in Atlanta. □
GI Woodworkers
The Golden Isles Woodworkers will
hold its regular monthly meeting on
Tuesday, June 16 at 7 p.m. at 22 Wood-
fall Court, Eagle Crest Subdivision,

Tea Party
Tea Party Patriots will assemble
on July 4 at Gascoigne Park/Bluff to
protest government fiscally irrespon
sible spending and over-taxation of
the American people.
The event will be held from 11a.m.
— 3 p.m. with food vendors, games for
the kids, and a program beginning at
12:30 p.m. featuring special guests
Barry Farber, legendary radio talk
show host, and Jim Gossett, political
comedian and satirist.
The public is encouraged to bring
signs and come out to celebrate
America and take a stand for free
dom and liberty. □
Cannons across
the Marsh
Fort King George State Historic
Site in Darien will celebrate the 4th
of July with "Cannons across the
Marsh" on Saturday, July 4 from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy free watermelon
and lemonade, with paid admission.
