No listen ing to some pretty good fish tales. No tea parties with Piper. To top it all - Gracie is driving me crazy trying to get me to lay on the floor and let her play with me like Will Riley does! I do have my limits! Frederica Baptist Church wel comes new member Martha Jannell Talley. A warm welcome to our community is extended to Rev. Alan M. Abridge as he becomes Rector for St. Mark's Episcopal Church. His first services at the church will be on September 6. Flowers were placed in Pine Ridge Baptist Church by Rilla Edgy in memory of Hazel Edgy and in honor of Russ Edgy on his birthday. Patty Gibson Flowers were placed in Calvary Baptist Church by Sandra Harper, Marie Ketter and Marvin Moore in loving memory of their mother Sara Moore Freeman John. Flowers were placed in Brunswick First United Methodist Church in celebration of Kale Diestel's birthday by his family. Flowers were also given in loving memory of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Vickers and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Vickers Jr. by Dr. and Mrs. William H. Tomey. Flowers were placed in Glyndale Baptist Church in memory of George Yawn by Opal Yawn. Jessica Cotter is welcomed as a new member. Brunswick Christian Renewal Church extends sympathy to Jerry Medders and family on the death of his father Leo Medders. St. Simons First Baptist Church extends sympathy to Sandra Benson and family in the death of her aunt Betty Mclntire. Sympathy is also expressed to Lois Joyce and family in the death of her grand-niece Penny Hutcheson. On August 30, St. Janies Luther an Church, Brunswick, will celebrate "Come-Together Sunday." The theme is "It Takes A Village to Raise a Child". There will be Sunday School classes for all ages - Pre-kindergarten (3-4 year olds), K-2nd grade, 3rd - 5th grade, middle/high school and adults. Come join us at 9:30 a.m. for coffee, juice, Matthew Charles Riddle, ]r. was bom to Matthew and Jamie Riddle on Tuesday, August 18 at 12:28 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs 7 ozs and was 21 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Rick and Patricia Banks of Brunswick. Paternal grandparents are Robert and Robin Hoenshell, of Brunswick. The Jubilate Choir (1st through 5th grades) and the Youth Choir (6th through 12th grades) will begin rehearsals on Wednesday, September 2nd. The Jubilate Choir will meet from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. The Youth Choir which includes playing chimes as well as singing will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. After school snacks will be served to both groups and a study hall is provided for the Youth.
