Court Appointed Special Advocates Glynn (CASA) Executive Direc
tor Lisa East (second from right) recently announced that she and her
husband are relocating to the Asheville, North Carolina area and she
would have to step down from her position at the CASA helm, which
she held for the last four years. Among the many people who turned
out last week for a farewell party were CASA Board of Director mem
bers: (left to right) Carole Ploeger, Elizabeth Sorrells, Pauletta Atwood,
Lillian Clarke, Bess Thompson, CASA board president Lynda Tye, East,
and Margie Harris. The CASA board, the foster community and the
people who know Ms. East will certainly miss her. Local attorney Ellen
Mayoue was selected to fill the Executive Director's position and takes

Military News
Air Force Airman Drew M. Hutto
graduated from basic military training
at Lackland Air Force Base, San Anto
nio, Texas.
The airman completed an inten
sive, eight-week program that includ
ed training in military discipline and
studies, Air Force core values, physical
fitness, and basic warfare principles
and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training
earn four credits toward an associate
in applied science degree through the
Community College of the Air Force.
He is the son of Patrick Dash of
Brunswick, and grandson of Dovey
Reeves of Irmo, S.C. Hutto is a 2008
graduate of Dutch Fork High School,
Irmo. □
