Health System adds second Valet Parking location
Southeast Georgia Health Sys
tem will add a second valet parking
location at the Brunswick Campus.
Complimentary valet parking will be
available at the hospital’s new main
entrance on Kemble Avenue, Monday-
Friday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Valet parking will continue to be
available at the Health System’s Out
patient Care Center entrance, 2500
Starling Street, Monday-Friday, 9
a.m.-4 p.m., for a $3 fee.
The Health System recently added
parking in Lot F on Kemble Avenue to
accommodate Emergency Care Center
patients and visitors. Another parking
area, located across the street from
the hospital at the corner of Parkwood
Drive and Kemble Avenue, is expected
to be complete in September.
Patients and visitors may continue
to self-park at no charge. Handicap-
designated parking spaces are avail
able close to the hospital, and wheel
chairs are provided at all hospital
entrances.
July at Georgia Ports
The Georgia Ports Authority moved 378/767 twenty-foot equivalent contain
er units (TEUS) in July, an increase of 12.7 percent, or 42,668 TEUs, compared
to the same month last year. At East River Terminal in Brunswick, bulk cargo
grew by 43 percent. Terminal operator Logistec moved an additional 29,670
tons last month, for a total of 98,483.
In roll-on/roll-off cargo, the GPA handled 53,419 units of autos and machin
ery, an increase of 5 percent, or 2,610 units, compared to July 2017. Colonel’s
Island Terminal at the Port of Brunswick moved the majority of that Ro/Ro
cargo, accounting for 50,850 units of the total.
