Queen Square Live Oak Tree Planting
KEEPING IT GREEN - Thanks to a directed donation received by Keep Golden
Isles Beautiful for a live oak tree to be planted in historic downtown Brunswick, the
recently removed Queen Square live oak was replaced on Arbor Day with a new
one. This new live oak tree will continue the tradition of proving shade for those

night! presents to the audience the
pleasure of seeing the man and the
myth, by portraying Mark Twain and
Samuel L. Clemens on stage at the
same time.
The production will be held May
25 and May 26 at 8 p.m. at Art Down
town Brunswick Actors’ Theatre on
Newcastle St.
Written and performed by Kurt H.
Sutton this performance is the most
entertaining Mark Twain show tour
ing the country today. It is smart and
imaginative, presenting the audience
the rare opportunity for participa
tion by singing along to the music of
Clemens time period, while enjoying
Twain’s hilarious tall tales and witty
humor. It is an intriguing approach to
this American literary icon and a won
derful evening of theatre!

Kurt H. Sutton was born in
Mannheim, Germany, in 1944 immi
grating to Chicago, IL. in 1950. Kurt
grew up in Canton, GA, and in 1968
he graduated from the University of
Georgia. He attended Western Caro
lina University receiving his MA Ed.
Adm in 1971. His study of and love
for Mark Twain’s works go back to his
early college days.
Kurt has enthralled audiences as a
motivational speaker and entertainer
on the theatrical and music stage for
30 years. His instruments, like Clem
ens’, include harmonica, guitar, and
banjo. He has performed in the movie
“Go Tell It On The Mountain” featur
ing Paul Winfield, and “Night Shad
ows” featuring Wings Hauser. He has
toured and performed Mark Twain
and Samuel Clemens for 12 years in
theatres, schools, colleges and special
events throughout the United States.
