BAHAI FAITH
O my Lord! Make Thy beauty to be my food,
and Thy presence my drink, and Thy pleasure my hope,
and praise of Thee my action, and remembrance of Thee my companion,
and the power of Thy sovereignty my succorer, and Thy habitation my home,
and my dwelling-place the seat Thou hast sanctified from the limitations
imposed upon them who are shut out as by a veil from Thee.
Thou art, verily, the Almighty, the All-Glorious, the Most Powerful.

BICENTENARY
The Bab (bab) (1819-1850) literally ‘the Gate,’the title of the prophet and
founder of the Babi Faith and the forerunner and herald of Baha’u’llah.
...In the middle of the 19th century— one of the most turbulent periods in
the world’s history— The Bab announced that He was the bearer of a
message destined to transform the life of humanity.
...The Bab announced that humanity stood at the threshold of a new era. His
mission, which was to last only six years, was to prepare the way for the
coming of a Manifestation of God Who would usher in the age of peace and
justice promised in all the world’s religions: Baha’u’llah.

Become as true brethren in the one and indivisible religion of God, free from distinction, for verily God desireth that your
hearts should become mirrors unto your brethren in the Faith, so that ye find yourselves reflected in them, and they in you.

PRAYER FOR AMERICA
O Thou Kind Lord! This gathering is turning to Thee.
These hearts are radiant with Thy love. These minds and spirits are exhilarated by the message of thy Glad-tidings. O God! Let
this American democracy become glorious in spiritual degrees even as it has aspired to material degrees, and render this just
government victorious. Confirm this revered nation to upraise the standard of the oneness of humanity, to promulgate the Most
Great Peace, to become thereby most glorious and praiseworthy among the nations of the world.
O God! This American nation is worthy of Thy favors an is deserving of Thy mercy.
Make it precious and near to Thee through thy bounty and bestowal.
