BAHAI FAITH
...I bear witness to Thy unity and Thy oneness,
anct that Thou art God, and that there is none other God beside Thee.
Thou hast, verily, revealed Thy Cause, fulfilled Thy Covenant,
and opened wide the door of Thy grace to all that dwell
in heaven and on earth.
Blessing and peace, salutation and glory,
rest upon Thy loved ones,
whom the changes and chances of the world have not deterred
from turning unto Thee, and who have given their all,
in the hope of obtaining that which is with Thee.
Thou art, in truth, the Ever-Forgiving, the All-Bountiful.

ON 29 AND 30 OCTOBER 2019, IN COUNTLESS SETTINGS AND PLACES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD, PEOPLE WILL CELEBRATE THE 200TH
ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF THE BAB, WHOSE REVITALIZING MESSAGE PREPARED THE WAY FOR THE COMING OF BAHA’U’LLAH, THE
FOUNDER OF THE BAHA’I FAITH.
Born two centuries ago, in October 1819, the Bab announced that He was the bearer of a message destined to transform the life of humanity, which
stood at the threshold of a new era. He called for a spiritual and moral reformation, to improve the position of women and the lot of the poor. He
founded a distinct and independent religion, inspiring His followers to transform their lives and carry out great acts of heroism.
The Bab’s mission was to prepare the way for Baha’u’llah.
...Words which the Bab addressed to the first group of His disciples suggest the nature of the moral standards He held up as goals for those who
responded to His call :Purge your hearts of worldly desires, and let angelic virtues be your adorning.... The days when idle worship was deemed
sufficient are ended. The time is come when naught but the purest motive, supported by deeds of stainless purity, can ascend to the throne of the Most
High and be acceptable unto Him.... Beseech the Lord your God to grant that no earthly entanglements, no worldly affections, no ephemeral pursuits,
may tarnish the purity, or embitter the sweetness, of that grace which flows through you.

O Thou Kind Lord! This gathering is turning to Thee.
These Eearts are radiant with Thy love. These minds and spirits are exhilarated by the
message of thy Glad-tidings. O God! Let this American democracy become glorious in
spiritual degrees even as it has aspired to material degrees, and render this just government
victorious. Confirm this revered nation to upraise the standard of the oneness of humanity,
to promulgate the Most Great Peace, to become thereby most glorious and praiseworthy
among the nations of the world.
O God! This American nation is worthy of Thy favors an is deserving of Thy mercy.
Make it precious and near to Thee through thy bounty and bestowal.
