GI Track Club donates to GA Cross Country team December 16, 2019, The Islander, Page 11 SLANDER. The Golden Isles Track Club recently donated $1,500 to the Glynn Academy Cross Country Team. With team members are Coach C. Gunther, GITC member Lea King-Badyna, GITC President Rhonda Kenyon, GITC Vice President Karen Stone, and GITC Treasurer Vince Marchionne. Proceeds from the July 4 Sunshine Festival 5K race help support local high school running teams. Provided photo GIYO holds two concerts Members of the Golden Isles Youth Orchestra held their winter concert in the Glynn Academy Memorial Auditorium Sunday along with the Symphonette Chamber Ensemble which performed in the lobby prior to the concert. The group also performed Saturday at Ft. Frederica’s open house. Brunswick High School graduate Stephenie Powell serves as the conductor and music director for the two groups. Provided Photo SHIftU!
