St. Simons First Baptist Church
will welcome their new Senior Pastor
Rev. Rob James on December 15. “Tid
ings of Joy: A Celtic Christmas Cele
bration” will be presented December 8
at 10:30 (no 8:30 service that day).
The Chancel Choir and Christmas
Singers of Brunswick First United
Methodist Church will present the
musical celebration “Rejoice and be
Merry” on December 8 at 10:30. Car
ols and Keyboards will be presented
Friday, December 20, at 7 p.m.
Frederica Baptist Church will
present “Worship At The Manger” on
December 24 at 5:30 p.m.
The Chancel Choir of Wesley
Church At Frederica Concert with
Con Brio Strings, Young Voices of
Wesley and Drama Team will have
two performances on December 15
at 9 and 11 a.m. On December 18
the Recital for Young Voices and Dr.
Teepen’s piano students will be at
6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve Communion
Services will be at 4 and 6:30 p.m.
St. William Catholic Church
extends sympathy to Bob and San
dra Hochwald in the death of his fa
ther Albert Hochwald. Flowers were
placed in the church in honor of the
First Wedding Anniversary of Nancy
and Tim Dawes. Sympathy is also ex
pressed to Yolanda O’Hern upon the
death of her husband Jack O’Hern
and to Janice and David Capano in
the death of her sister Marion McVey.
Plan ahead for the Live Nativity
to be presented by the Youth at St.
Simons Presbyterian Church on
December 20 at 6 and 7 p.m. This is
a wonderful experience for the entire
family.
Everyone is welcome to Breakfast
with St. Nicholas Sunday, Dec. 8 at
10:15 a.m. in the Christ Church Par
ish Hall, Christ Church Frederica.
Donations are accepted for breakfast.
On Dec. 15, 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall,
the Festival of Nine Lessons and Car
ols will be held including Candlelight,
Choirs and String Quartet.
Be sure to visit the incredible life
sized nativity at the Arthur J. Moore
Museum at Epworth during this
Christmas season.
The coming weeks are filled with
many musical reminders of “the rea
son for the season.” The babe in the
manger is what it is all about. Rejoice.

ceived and transferred over $1.8 mil
lion in proceeds obtained through wire
fraud.
Between September 2021 and Octo
ber 2022 Lecount’s accounts received
and transferred over $380,000 in pro
ceeds through wire fraud.
Between April 2022 and December
2022 accounts controlled by Gibbons
and Hunter received and transferred
over $700,000 in proceeds obtained
through wire fraud.
Between February 2022 and June
2022 accounts controlled by Fredrick
received and transferred over $330,000
in proceeds obtained through wire
fraud.
Around December 2020 while incar
cerated in the Glynn County Deten
tion Center, Hasuan communicated
with Victim 1 directly and indirectly
through others including Lecount.
His claims included that he had a
team of attorneys and he could get In
mate 1 out of prison prior to his release
date.
He said he was a savvy investor and
promised to invest funds on her behalf
to help cover Inmate l’s legal fees.
He unsuccessfully tried to convince
Victim 1 to transfer property to him.
Victim 2 was contacted while he was
in the GCDC and Telfair State Prison.
Hasuan contacted Victim 2 directly
and indirectly through Danielstunstill
and Warren.
He led Victim 2 to believe Inmate
2 was in danger of physical harm and
would be killed unless Victim 2 con
tinued to make payments to the Com
plainant’s family.
Hasuan told Victim 2 to make pay
ments to Danielstunstill, Lecount, Gib
bons, Hunter and Fredrick.
Victim 2 wired a total of $265,000 to
Danielstunstill; $150,000 to Fredrick;
$260,000 to Gibbons and Hunter.
Victim 2 transferred money and
property valued at approximately
$3.5 million to the members of the
conspiracy.
Victims 3 and 4 transferred money
and property valued at approximately
$215,000 to members of the conspiracy.
Count one, conspiracy to commit
money laundering includes Hasuan,
Danielstunstill, Lecount, Gibbons,
Hunter, Frederick, Easton, Warren
and Rocha.
Hasuan and Danielstunstill are
charged with Counts Two, Three and
Nine; concealment money laundering.
Hasuan and Fredrick are charged
with concealment money laundering
count four and count six.
Hasuan and Hunter are charged
with concealment money laundering
counts five and eight.
Hasuan and Hunter are charged
in count seven spending money
laundering.
Hasuan, Danielstunstill, Fredrick,
Gibbons, and Hunter are charged with
wire fraud in count 10.
Count 11 charges Hasuan with at
tempted extortion under the Hobbs
Act.
Upon conviction the defendants will
forfeit all cash and property.
Gibbons was first elected to the
Glynn County Board of Education in
2020. She was re-elected to the District
5 board seat in November 2024.
In a statement Dr. Scott Spence, Su
perintendent of Glynn County Schools,
said, ‘We have been made aware that
one of our school board members is
being indicted on federal charges. In
accordance with the law, we will in
form the Governor and adhere to his
guidance on how to proceed. We are
committed to maintaining transpar
ency and upholding the integrity of our
school board.”

discussed leadership qualities of new applicants, recruiting and retention of
trained police officers, incentives, bonuses, and the importance of up to date
equipment and vehicles. Chief plans to introduce Flock Safety, a public safety
platform that uses technology to help communities and law enforcement reduce
