Sacred Lines
The weather was gloomy Suu
day. It was a day that invited
one to sit in a cozy room by sw
open lire, for the temperature was
below normal.
In this city one hundred and
one gathered at the Baptist church
to enjoy the Sunday School hour.
We also noticed a large crowd
hurrying along the street to the
M. E. church, wherr Sunday
School is held at the same hour.
Rev M:. Jones, pastor of the
Baptist church, preached an inter,
eating sermon to an appreciative
audience; this being the first time
there has been preaching at the
Baptist ohnrcb, under the new
contract with the minister, who ia
to preach on the second and fpnrth
Sundays in each month.
Several Baptists, living in near
by communities, have expressed a
desire to place their membership
here if the church arranged for
preaching services for two Sundays.
Lheir presence will be appreciated.

Yes, a disposition to “Remember
the Sabbath day, to keep it holy,"
is ranch in evidence in Colquitt,
and the spirit will, most probably,
be tenderly nirtured.
