brown basket tied with red and
yellow ribbon, were served to each
guest. With the first coots* a
glass of blackberry shrub was en

7th. To pay expenses, in support of]

City Courts, salaries of Judge and So- i
Heitors, 42.10 on tbe thousand dollars.
9th. To pay expenses of maintaining ]
public roads and coevicts. which will be
known as "Public Works’’ land $9.75 .
on the thousand dollars.
10th. To pay for the expenses of the
eradication of the cattie lick. which
will be known as the “Dip Vat” fund ’
11.60 on the thouSandJdoUars.
Jlth. To pay any other lawful ex
peases against the county $1.35 on the
thousand dollars.
12th. To pay for Jhe support of the]
public schools of the county, upon the j
recomendation and request thereof from
the Board of Education of said county ,
under authority of ,an amendment of
Par. 1, Sec. 4 and Art. 8 of the Consti
tution of Georgia, adopted at tbe Gen
eral Election held in 1920, 45.00 < n the
thousand dollars.

Election
GEORGIA—MiIIer County.
A petition signed by more than one
fourth of the qualified voters of the
Harmony School District Na 6, of said
County and State, having been filed
with the Board of Trustees of said
School District, asking that an election
be held in said District for the purpose
of determining whether or not bonds
! shall be issued in said district for the
j purpose of building and equipping a
. schoolhouse in said district, notice is
hereby given in terms of the law that
there will be an election held in said
j district at Harmony Church (the for
mer schoolhouse having been destroyed
Iby fire), on Saturday, the 7th day of
I October, 1922, for the purpose of de
j termining whether or not bonds shall
: be issued in said district for the pur
pose of building and equipping a schoo--
i house in said District.
The total amount of bonds to be is
sued being Nine Thousand Dollars, in
one hundred dollar denominations, and
bonds to bear date of December Ist,
1922. Four of said bonds to mature on
\ the Ist day of January. 1924, and four
of sa>d bonds to mature on the Ist day
of January, of each year thereafter,
for nine years. Five of said bonds to
mature on the first day of January, 1934
I and five of said bonds to mature on the
1 first day of January of each year there
after for nine years, and each of said
| bonds to draw interest at the rate of
six and one-half per cent per annum
fiom its date of issue, and ail accrued
interest on the entire issue to be also
l>aid on the Ist day of January, 1924.
and each one year thereafter until the
entire issue has been fully paid off.
The entire issue of said bonded indebt
edness to be retired and fully paid
within twenty-one years from date of
issue.
Ballots will be supplied the qualified
voters of said District on which will be
, printed the following words, “for
schoolhouse,” and "against school
house”. and those desiring to vote in
favor of the proposed bond issue shall
erase from their ballots the words “a
gainst schoolhouse”, and those desiring
to tote against said proposed bond issue
wifi erase from their ballets the words
“for schoolhouse.”
By erder of the Board of Trustees of
Harmony School District No. 6, of said
County and State, in meeting assembled
on September 2nd, 1922.
