Late last fall a Lilxral report
aaid to Air. B. H. Fudge:
“You haven’t sold many goode
thia fall on account of the failure
of the cotton crop, have you?”
Hie reply was: “Yea, we have
sold ae many or we’ve
made the least profit we ever made.
Customers buy mostly the actual
necessities. We realize the crop
shortage, and the needs of the
people, so we have let the large
stocks go with a profit hardly
sufficient to cover the expenses
moured in handling.”
Buob consideration at such a
time baa been and will be greatly
appreciated.
Now that Mr. B. H, Fudge haa
become the sole propnetar of the
dry goods department, he says one '
of his rules will be to sell all mer
merchandise ata “small profit’’
He believes the greater amount
of merchandise will prove a bles
sing to customers and will prove
a recompense.
There are in this store large
’lines of staple goods and a stock
merchandise sure to |[
please the moat discriminating. ■'
Beapiitul slippers, and exquisite
in dress goods are among
ibe qew arrivals at the Fudge b
Store.
