LEGAL SALES.
Spalding Sheriff Sales for October.
WILL BE SOLD, before the Court House door,
in the city of Griffin, Spalding county, Ga., on the
first Tuesday in October next, within the legal hours of
sale, the following property, to wit :
One negro woman named Anica, about 35 years old, and
her child Dosa. Levied on as the property of Henry Z
Pratt, to satisfy three li fas issued from the Justices’ Court
of thes3otli dist., G M., in favor of Lewis and Shackleford,
and transfered to Thomas Hornsby. Property pointed out
by J M Trimble. Levy made and returned to me by J T
Gray, Constable
50 acres of Land off of the south side of Lot No 128, in
the 3rd district of formerly Henry county, now Spalding
county : Levied on as the property of Solomon \V. Blood
worth to satisfy three fl fas. from Spalding Inferior Court ,
in favor of Wm L Gordon vs Solomon W Blood worth, and
to be sold for the purchase money. Property pointed out
byplaintiff.
Three-eighths of an acre, more or less, off of the west side
of lot No 5. in square No 22, in the original plan cf the
city of Griffin, with all the improvements thereon, the same
being the place whereon James P Perdue now lives : Le
vied on to satisfy afi fa from Spalding Inferior Court, in
favor of Wm L Gordon vs John T Thweatt. Sold as the
{•roperty of John T Thweatt, and for purchase money.—-
’roperty pointed out by plaintiff, and tenant in possession
notified.
One acre, more or less, in the city of Griffin, lying east
of Waddy & Haynes Steam Mill, and cornering with a lot
belonging to H Moor and with J T Ransone, with all the im
■provements thereon—the same being the place whereon
Leroy Sneed now lives : Levied on’to satisfy a fi fa in my
hands from Spalding Inferior Court, in favor of Salmons
Booth & Cos. vs Leroy Sneed principal, and IM Chapman
security To be sold as the property of Leroy Sneed, and pro
perty pointed out by Wm R Phillips & Cos., transferees
A lot of drugs, medicines, roots, jugs, boxes, and null
'd ry other articles usually kept by physicians of the Dutch
and Indian practice; also ane bedstead and mattrass with the
clothing , all levied on as the property of Dr IV A Hitch
cock, to satisfy an attachment at the instance of Theophilus
Pierce vs said Hitchcock. Sold by an order of Court.

Janies S Long, by virtue of an attachment in Spalding In

Administrator’s Sale.
AGREEABLY to an order of the Honorable Court of
Ordinary of Spalding county,will be sold at the court
house, in the City of Griffin, on Tuesday, the 7th dayofOcto
her next, those two tracts or parcels of Land belonging to
the late Albert G. Colbert, of said county, deceased, known
?is the “Mill” and “Heflin” Places. The “Mill” Place con
sists of 300 acres, 50 acres of which are good swampland,
about 100 acres in cultivation. There is on said tractor
parcel, an excellent and profitable grist mill, and alsoa good
cotton gin and screw. The Heflin place consists of 300
acres, 75 of which are cleared and in a high state of culti
vation. Those desirous of purchasing, would do well to call

Meriwether county, Ga., on the first Tuesday in Octo
ber next, within the legal hours of sale, under an order of
the Court of Ordinary of Meriwether county, the following
Lots of Land, to wit:
108 acres, more or less, being the eastern part of lot No
125, in the 2d district of originally Troup now Meriwether
county ; the east half of lot No 17, in the Bth district of
originally Troup now Meriwether county ; lot No 16, in the

IN mercy to the afflicted, and the gratitude and high opin
ion I entertain of DR. MOSELEY as a Surgeon and Phy
sician, I deem it my duty to mention the case of my wife,
hoping at the same time that all persons similarly afflicted,
may be benefitted by it. In the first part of this year, my
wife bad several small lumps make their appearance in her
breast; they continued to increase in size, until the whole
breast became a diseased mass, and very painful. I procured
the best medical aid in the city of Rome,and notwithstanding
the earnest and faithful attention of our most skillful physi
cians, she continued to grow worse and worse, until they
gave the case up as incurable, and advised amputation, i
was advised by many of my friends, to visit Dr. Moseley, of
Griffin, Ga., which l did, and, astonishing as it may seem,
he had her entirely cured within one month, and she is now
in good health.’ I would advise all who are afflicted with
Scirrbus and Cancerous affections to visit the Doctor with
out delay, as I am satisfied by experience and observation,
that he is the most skillful physician in theSouthem States,
