Mrs. Marlow was bom in Aguilar, Colorado, one of 17 children to the late Jospeh Delfin Cordova and the late Jennie Odelia Apodaca Cordova. Mrs. Marlow earned a Master’s Degree in Library Sci ence. She was a teacher, librarian and author. She retired from the Univer sity of North Georgia, and was a member of the Holly Springs Methodist Church. She loved God with all her heart, and felt it was her mission to tell others about Jesus. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marlow was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Dixon Marlow Sr., and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Marlow, Gainesville; son, Arthur Dixon Marlow II (Georgean- na), Flowery Branch; six siblings; her grandchildren, Meghan Garrett Rutledge (Brett), Ethan Michael Gar rett (Sarah), Sarah Grace Marlow and Arthur Dixon “Jack” Marlow III; and great-grandchildren, Ronan Rutledge and Asher Rutledge also survive. Susan will be re membered best as a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Week of December 16-22 Donald Jackson Rutledge Sr. WINDER—Donald Jackson Rutledge Sr., 83, Wind er, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was bom in Atlanta on March 1, 1941, to the late James Henry Jackson and Susan Inez Rutledge. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and went on to serve his local com munity as a police officer in Atlanta and later retired from the City of Winder Police Department. Don ald was also known for his work sharpening scissors and blades for dog groom ers. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Hilga Rutledge; brother, Jon Rutledge; and sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Steve Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Lana Rutledge; son, Don ald Rutledge Jr.; daughter, Deborah (Kip) Hall; grand children, Taylor Rutledge, Courtney (Jarrett) Boswell and Ian (Megan) Mann; great-grandchild, Owen Mann; sister, BeBe (Larry) Johns; and sister-in-law, Gina Rut ledge. He was a member of Union Bap tist Church and retired as a supervisor from Empire Manufacturing Plant. Hen ry loved country music and going to Nashville, Tennessee, to the Grand Ole Opry. He also enjoyed being a farmer on his cattle and chicken farm. Mr. Wallace was pre ceded in death by his wife, Dot Hammond Wallace; daughter, Sheila Wood Peppers; parents, Ezra Lee Wallace and Arline Mae Wallace; and siblings, G.W. Wallace, Otis Wallace, Willie Sue Wilson, Essie Lou McCullers, Reba Boyd and Betty Ruth Sims. Week of December 16-22 Michael Trent Williamson COMER — Michael Trent Williamson, 62, Comer, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at his home. Mr. Williamson was born in Athens on March 5, 1962, son of the late Charlie C. Williamson and the late Mary Jean Kitch ens Williamson. He was a dietician having worked at Comer Health and Re habilitation and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his par ents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Da vid C. Williamson; and sister, Cindy Williamson Garcia. Survivors include his wife, Gaynell Brown William son; son, Michael Trent Williamson Jr., Comer; brother, Jeff Williamson, Colbert; sister, Angela Hollis, Comer; and several nieces and nephews.
