Raiders climb to 11-1, win Christmas Classic
The Madison County High School
boys basketball team added two
more wins to their record, as well as
a new trophy, as they emerged vic
torious in the “Red Raider Christ
mas Classic” over the weekend.
The team won game one of the
holiday tournament against the
Richmond Hill Wildcats on Dec.
20, 66-50.
In the second and final round of
the tournament on Dec. 21, the Red
Raiders burst onto the scene, out-
scoring the Pendleton Bulldogs 41-
13 in the first half. The team would
go on to finish the game 65-35,
winning the Red Raider Christmas
Classic in grand fashion.
The Raiders, now 11-1 and on a
six-game winning streak, will go
on a road trip to Gatlinburg, Ten
nessee, to participate in the Smoky
Mountain Winter Classic.
The tournament will take place
from Dec. 26 through 28. The Mad
ison County boys team’s game
one opponent is still yet to be an
nounced.
