Public Notices Continued
We appreciate your participa
tion in this process.
This project proposes a
bridge replacement on CR
11/Dove-Drake Road over
Mill Shoal Creek, in Madison
County approximately 10
miles north of Comer.
The existing bridge over
Mill Shoal Creek was built
in 1962. The existing bridge
consists of 3 spans and the
design loading is unknown.
The bridge is load restricted
and is scour critical. The road
way at the bridge consists of
two 10-foot lanes (one in each
direction) and approximately
2-foot unpaved shoulders.
The existing bridge consists of
two 10-foot lanes (one in each
direction) and approximately
2-foot shoulders. The existing
right-of-way is approximately
80-feet wide, and additional
right-of-way is anticipated.
An off-site detour is proposed
during construction which will
utilize Reed Brawner Road,
Mill Shoal Church Road, and
Parham-Dudley Road and
have a net length increase in
travel of 1.8 miles.
GDOT has placed infor
mation about the proposed
project at https://www.dot.
ga.gov/GDOT/Pages/Publi-
cOutreach.aspx. The infor
mation on the website is pro
vided in place of an in-person
meeting allowing the public to
review the proposed project,
provide feedback, or write in
with questions.
