Obituaries
Ruby M. Sines
Ruby M. Sines of Ohio Valley Health Care Facil
ity died on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
She was born December 16, 1926, in Parkers
burg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late How
ard T. and Belva (McFee) Gault.
She worked at the Chancellor Hotel, Sears and
Roebuck and the C and P Telephone Company.
She was a member, Sunday School teacher and
choir member of the River Hill United Methodist
Church.
She was a life member of the American Legion
Post 15 Auxiliary, a life member of the DAV Aux
iliary, a 65-year member of the Ladies Order of the
Eastern Star #14, a member of the Ladies Oriental
Shrine #2 of North America and the Shrine Hillbil
lies, a member of the Blennerhassett Volunteer Fire
Department Auxillary, and was an active member
of the Blennerhassett community.
She was also a life member of the WV P.T.A. She
served as a baton twirlers manager of the Castlettes
and the Blennerhassett Twirlers. She was a leader
of both Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.
She married Melvin L. Sines on December 19,
1948, and he preceded her in death in 2008.
She is survived by one son, John Sines (Linda),
Washington, West Virginia; two daughters, Suzanne
Hein and Sandy Ray, Claremont, North Carolina;
seven grandchildren, Shannon Watson (Eric), Eliz
abeth, West Virginia, Mark Sines (Kathi), Jones
borough, Tennessee, Jason Sines (Jessica), Bun
ker Hill, West Virginia, Robert Gorby (Brittany),
Moyock, North Carolina, Trevor Gorby (Paige),
Virginia Beach, Virginia, Edward Ray (Amber),
Hickory, North Carolina, and John-Edward Sines,
Elizabeth, West Virginia; 13 great-grandchildren;
one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces
and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Orlan
Gault; and sisters, Roxie Gault Bosley and Lucille
Johnson.
Funeral service: Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 11 a.m.
at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, West
Virginia, with the Reverend Charles Furbee offi
ciating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Family to receive friends: Saturday, July 5, 2025,
from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home with
Eastern Star rites.
The Sines family would like to thank the staff at
Ohio Valley Health Care Facility for the great care
they gave her during her time there.

Martha Giles Whitehead
Martha Giles Whitehead, 82, passed away peace
fully on Monday, June 30, 2025.
Born on May 16, 1943, she was a cherished
member of the Winder community.
A graduate of Wind
er-Barrow High School,
Mrs. Whitehead was
an active member of
her class. She was also
a dedicated member
of Carter Hill Chris
tian Church, where her
faith and compassion
touched many lives. As
a member of the Hair
dresser Association of
Georgia and the Eastern
Star, she was known for her nurturing spirit and
commitment to her community.
Martha had a servant’s heart, always helping
those in need. Whether it was delivering home-
cooked meals to the sick, volunteering at the
church or giving her time at the food pantry, She
led a life devoted to serving others. Mrs. White-
head was a long-time hairdresser in Winder, where
her creativity and compassion for her clients made
her a beloved figure. She had a unique ability to
make each person feel special and cared for, leav
ing a lasting impact on everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her beloved
spouse, Roger Lane Whitehead; her parents, Doc
Giles and Lucille Wages Giles; and her sister,
Mary Helen Beacham.
Martha is survived by her brother, Frank Giles,
Winder; nieces, Connie Ross, Malissa Palmer,
and Marianne Still; great-niece and nephews, and
great-great-nieces and nephew.
Family to receive friends: Wednesday, July 2,
2025 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Maddox-Carter Me
morial Home.
Funeral service: Thursday, July 3, 2025, at
11 a.m. at Carter Hill Christian Church with Pas
tor Heath Kennedy and the Reverand Ben Parker
officiating. She will lie-in state at the church from
10 until 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church
cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that dona
tions be made to the Carter Hill Christian Church,
361 Punkin Junction Rd., Bethlehem, Georgia
30620.
Maddox-Carter Memorial Home, Winder, is en

Will "Billy" N. Worley Jr.
ROYSTON — Will “Billy” N. Worley Jr., 82,
Royston, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at
St. Mary’s Healthcare Center in Athens.
Will “Billy” N. Wor
ley Jr. was born on May
2, 1943, in Homer,
son of the late Will N.
Worley Sr. and the late
Nettie Lord Worley.
He was a roofer having
worked at Martin Roofing and was of the Baptist
faith. Mr. Worley was a U.S. Air Force veteran and
an avid Ga. Bulldog fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by brother, Bobby Dean Worley; and sisters,
Betty Lord Crowe, Jessie Belle Roach, Mary Lou
Peeples and Bertie Mae Fountain.
He was survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends: Tuesday, July 8,
2025, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Pruitt Funeral Home.
Mr. Worley requested that he be cremated. A cel
ebration of life will be held at a later date.
