Incidents investigated
by MCSO last week

Recent incidents investigated by the Madi
son County Sheriff’s Office include:
•a man on Mimosa Dr., Hull, reported one
of his neighbors was driving fast on a road on
his property and nearly hit his mother while
she was working in the yard. The complainants
stated when they approached the driver and his
mother attempted to speak with the driver, the
driver responded with racial slurs and drove
away.
•miscellaneous information at a home on
Wesley Capel Rd., Danielsville, where a wom
an requested to have her soon-to-be ex-hus
band’s attorney removed from her property.
•accident involving a deer on Old Wildcat
Bridge Rd., Danielsville.
•criminal trespass at a Shoal Creek Rd., Col
bert, residence, where a criminal trespass warn
ing was issued to an individual for a two-year
period.
•theft by taking at a Blacks Creek Church
Rd., Commerce, home, where a woman stated
her sister stole her wallet, keys to her house and
car and $90 in cash when she allowed her to
spend the night at her home.
•miscellaneous information at a Blacks
Creek Church Rd., Commerce, home, where a
woman asked to have another female removed
from her porch.
•rape at a home on Osley Mill Trl., Carlton,
where a sexual assault was reported.
•simple battery at a Paoli St., Comer, nurs
ing home, where one resident had reportedly
grabbed another resident by the neck.
•runaway juvenile from a home on Dove
Drake Rd., Royston.
•miscellaneous information on West Pine
Ave., Comer, where a man stated he was stand
ing in door jamb of his truck, reached over and
started the vehicle then the truck began rolling
backwards and dragging him with it. He stated
he tried to get inside the cab and as he got in
the cab the truck rolled into the wood line strik
ing a tree and other underbrush that stopped the
truck. The man suffered scratches and small
counts probation violation.

was charged with Driving Under
the Influence (DUI) of alcohol,
speeding (16-25 miles over) and
turning position; signals required
during a traffic stop on Hwy. 98 at
Loop Rd., Commerce..
•Anthony Fitzgerald Arnold,
45, McCarty Dodd Rd., Colbert,
Clarke County hold.
•Urshelun Qugene Clarke, 48,
Atlanta Ave., Athens, faces a
charge of driving while driver’s
license is suspended or revoked
after her vehicle was observed
stopped in the middle of Charlie
Bolton Rd., Danielsville.
•Ashley Nevaeh Favors, 23,
Magnolia Terrace Ln., Athens,
was charged with simple battery
- FVA after she was involved in a
domestic disturbance with anoth
er female at a home on Isabelle’s
Way, Colbert.
•Lonis Andrew McDaniel Sr.,
41, Woodale St., Hull, faces
charges of driving while driver’s
license is suspended or revoked,
possession of methamphetamine
and tag light illumination required
during a traffic stop on Hwy. 29
South at Old Danielsville Rd.,
Hull.

North, Danielsville, where a woman reported
the windshield on her vehicle was damaged by
an unknown object that came off a flat-bed style
truck she was following on Hwy. 106 North.

Bridges Rd., Danielsville, where a man report
ed the tag on his 2019 homemade trailer being
lost.
•domestic dispute at a Hwy. 106 South, Hull,
home, where the male involved in the dispute
had his foot run over.
•obstruction of officers, driving while driv
er’s license is suspended/revoked, driving a
motor vehicle with invalid registration/sus-
pended vehicle tag registration and speeding on
SR 72 at McCannon Morris Rd., Hull, where
a traffic stop was attempted but the driver fled
the scene.
•an injured deer, possibly struck by a car, was
dispatched by a Madison County Sheriff’s Of
fice (MCSO) deputy on Hwy. 72 West, Dan
ielsville.
•battery/simple battery - FVA at a home on
Ivywood Dr., Hull, where a woman reported a
domestic dispute with her husband who struck
her in the mouth 2-3 times while she was seated
on the couch.
•terroristic threats and acts at a home on Bud
Freeman Rd., Royston, where a possible do
mestic dispute was reported.
•custody exchange on Hwy. 98 East, Comer,
where a man stated his ex-wife had not arrived
for a custody exchange and he believed she was
intentionally keeping his children from him.
•a woman on Shannon Ln., Comer, stated a
male did not follow a child custody court or
der in place by dropping off the child at the
agreed-upon place and time.
•aggravated assault at a home on West Kel
logg Dr., Danielsville, where a domestic dis
pute was reported and a man stated his father
ran over him with a truck.
•failure to notify owner upon striking a fix
ture on Ed Coile Rd., Danielsville, where a

by a vehicle that did not stop.

Garnett Ward Rd., Hull, where a woman re
ported her husband was intoxicated and yelling
during a domestic dispute.
•a woman reported a collision with a dog on
Neese Commerce Rd., Danielsville.
•safety checkpoint conducted on Hwy. 281
at Hwy. 191, Danielsville, where 46 vehicles
were checked.
•entering automobile, theft by taking and
duty to stop at scene of accident - hit and run,
leave scene of accident on Mae Dr., Daniels
ville, where a woman reported someone stole
her vehicle sometime during the night of morn
ing, crashed it and then returned it.
•aggravated assault on Jack Sharp Rd. at John
Sharp Rd., Hull, where a man reported he was
at the stop sign on Jackson Sharp Rd. facing
North when an unknown individual drove from
John Sharp Rd. and struck his vehicle head-on
twice and once in the driver’s side door as he
was attempting to flee the scene.
•battery/simple battery - FVA on Bonds Lake
Rd., Danielsville, during a physical domestic
dispute between a juvenile male and his dad.
•reckless conduct on Spratlin Mill Dr., Hull,
where a man reported he and his family had
been out of town and when they returned home
they found three bullet holes in the side of the
house, one went into the attic and two went into
the hallway and then into his daughter’s bed-
room.
•a possible gunshot wound at Piedmont Ath
ens Regional Medical Center where a female
was being treated for a gunshot wound that she
possibly received at a home in Madison Coun-
ty.
•aggravated assault on Transco Rd., Com
er, where a man reported he and his girlfriend
were looking at some property to buy when an
other male pulled up, blocked them in with his
truck and pulled out a handgun and pointed it
at them.
Red Cross
urges blood
donations
amid
summer
shortages
The American Red
Cross is urging all eligi
ble donors to give blood
or platelets now to help
maintain a strong blood
supply during the summer
months. Type 0 blood is
especially needed to en
sure hospitals are stocked
for trauma patients and
others requiring lifesav
ing transfusions.
Seasonal activities, hol
idays and severe weather
can all disrupt blood col
lection efforts, making
summer a particularly
challenging time to meet
demand. The Red Cross
stresses that scheduling
and keeping donation ap
pointments in July is crit
ical to prevent shortages.
All blood types are
needed. Donors who don’t
know their blood type can
learn it after giving.
Appointments can be
made at RedCrossBlood.
org, by calling 1-800-
RED CROSS (1-800-733-
2767), or by using the Red
Cross Blood Donor App.

who give by July 14 will

At the run-off primary election to be held in Madison County on July 15, 2025,
for the nomination of candidates for the Democratic Party, only one polling place
shall be open and such polling place will be located at the Madison County Board
of Elections and Registration Office located at 20 Albany Ave Danielsville, GA
30633. Any voters who desire to vote in such run-off primary must vote at said
polling place and no other polling places will be open for the run-off primary.
The Poll will be open from 7:00am -7:00pm.
Advance Voting for the run-off primary election will be July 7 -July 11, 2025.
Monday -Friday, 8:00am -5:00pm. There will be no Saturday Voting for the
run-off election.
The run-off election is for the nomination of candidates for the Democratic Party.
Only voters who cast a Democratic ballot in the June 17, 2025, primary election
or who did not vote, will be eligible to vote in the run-off election to be held on
July 15, 2025.
If you wish to vote by absentee ballot, please submit an application to our office
no later than July 7, 2025.
