Do you believe in dreams ? A Mrs. Fen*,
wick and four children left Melbourne for
England in the Royal Charter, and all were
lost. Mr. Fenwick, the husband mid father,
remained m Melbourne, and about five days
before the wreck wrote to a friend in Hobait
Town, saying he had seen his wife and
children, in a dream, battling with the |
waves and calling to him for help. The
dream so preyed on his mind that he com
mitted suicide by cutting his throat, and 1
that on the very night of the wreck.
Great Baptismal Performances—Dipping |
for the Championship. —Bey. Mr. Jameson,
a Baptist preacher, baptised a few days ago, I
at South Berwick, Me., fifty-six persons by j
immersion, in the short space of fortv-six j
minutes. It was considered by those who j
witnessed it, the greatest feat ever perform- !
ed. We understand that the Rev. Mr.
Jameson offers to dip more people in an
hour for a wager of SSOO, than any other man
of l.is weight and reachof arms in New Eng*
land.

Sarza. We have long supposed this celebrated
drug had become to be an exploded humbug, hut
we are assured by those skilled in the healing art.
that not the real sarsaparilla itself is to be blamed
for this conclusion, but the miserable worthless pre
parations of it that have been palmed off upon the
community—preparations which contain about as
much of its virtues as they do of gold dust. It is
a commercial fact that almost all of the Sarsaparil
la gathered in the world, is consumed in the old
countries ol Europe, where the science of medi
cine lias reached its highest perfection, and where
they know best what to employ for the mastery of
■disease. Hence we are glad to find that we are now
to have a compound of this excellent alterative,
which can be relied on. and our community will not
need to be assured, that anything Dost. Aykr makes,
is worthy of their confidence. He lias been for
years engaged in eliminating this remedy (see

so simple in construction, that a servant of

the machine cannot get out of repair, and ‘

with special care as to durability. We feel j

is evidenced by numerous testimonials, and ;
from many we select and invite attention to |
