We have to accept the Bible as it is. There are some mysteries and there is much to be understood of its message. Deuteronomy 29:29 is a key verse in explaining this: "The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which ;ire revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law." We are encouraged to study the Bible diligently, seeking to learn all we can; however, we must leave some of it to be known by those for whom it is intended. Even Daniel wrote, but did not understand what he was writing (see Daniel !2:4-9). Seek for spiritual knowledge to the glory of God, and to benefit others and yourself and it will be given. "Call unto me and I will answer thee and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not" (Jeremiah 33:3). "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given to him" (.Limes 1:5). Accept with humility all the spiritual knowledge God gives you, and all that remains a mystery to you, accept that by faith, trusting what God said and that settles it, and is will be as He said it. Scout leaders and members of Troop 96 placed the candles in the bags and placed the bags on the trailer and any other dry spots they could find in the City Bam where the work was being accomplished, so as to be out of the weather. The Perry Area Historical Society sponsored the street-lighting project. Pauline Lewis, chairman of the project, said that it was the first time the weather has been so bad that the service had to be cancelled; however, it has been so disagreeable a few times that the service was shortened. Those who assisted in the candle lighting project were members of the Police and Fire Departments, City employees, leaders and members of Boy Scout Troop 96 and Pauline Lewis.
