Flint EMC was cited at the
recent annual meeting of Georgia
Electric Membership Corporation
for having 100 percent of it's Board
of Directors and key staff as
members in the Action Committee
for Rural Electrification.
ACRE provides assistance to
legislative candidates who
demonstrate support for the rural
electrification program, said Flint
spokesman Glenn Heck.
GEMC is a statewide trade
organization providing a variety of
legislative, public relations,
training and other services to EMCs
throughout the state.
Flint EMC, based in Reynolds,
is a consumer-owned electric
cooperative serving more than
50,000 consumers in 16 counties,
including Houston.
